Roseanne and Charlene will co-present at the NHPCO Clinical Conference in September. The title of the presentation is Organizing Patient Focused IDG Meetings.  The purpose of the IDG meeting is to utilize the discipline specific skills and knowledge of each member of the IDG and, based on the comprehensive assessment of the patient and family, to develop, evaluate and revise the plan of care to meet the patient’s and family’s unique needs. You will learn  tips and tools to improve effectiveness of your IDG meetings

Designed for compliance officers who wish to have a fuller understanding of the responsibilities of the role, this workshop will provide participants with the content and skills needed to fully develop and maintain an effective and protective compliance program—definitely the efficacious antidote to that free floating anxiety that some important activity may inadvertently be overlooked or omitted! It is geared towards hospice compliance officers or anyone interested in effective compliance programs and activities. This session will address the regulatory requirements and implications of live discharges under the Medicare Hospice Benefit. Hospice regulaitons specify critieria for discharging patients and revocations.

Along with Susan Balfour, Roseanne and Charlene will present a full day pre-conference at the Georgia Hospice and Palliative Care annual conference. This conference will focus on the challenges and differences in the regulations between the 2 provider types and practical tips to improve compliance and care outcomes.
